MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATION.

Chitralians in and outside Chitral are very happy to see Mr. Salim Khan Member elect PPPP from Chitral to have been inducted in to NWFP Cabinet as Minister Population and social welfare. This is an admitted fact as shown by history that Pakistan Peoples Party has been the kindest party to the people of Chitral, has always been showing their sympathy to Chitral and to the people of Chitral in practical. Late Qadir Nawaz was Minister Local Government and Sports in PPP led provincial government and it is again PPP that accommodates Chitral appointing Mr. Salim Khan as Minister. On this appointment the long deprived people of Chitral are indeed very happy once again and express thanks to Provincial Chief of PPPP Mr. Rahim Dad Khan and his Committee Members for their sympathy and kindness extended to the people of Chitral nominating Mr. Salim Khan for provincial cabinet. We the people of Chitral are no doubt grateful to Co Chairman PPPP Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and his team for being kind and caring to the deprived people of Chitral. People of Chitral accept that Shahid Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto government did a lot for the people of Chitral being Lowari Tunnel on the top. Chitralians are no doubt fortunate to have construction work restarted on tunnel by our kind president Pervaiz Musharaff in 2006 and we hope that with its construction Chitral shall be connected to the rest part of the country through all-weather road. We further expect that our Government in Centre and in Province would extend their cooperation and kindness even more than before considering Chitral for more mega projects in the coming years. We Chitralis living in Karachi offer our unanimous congratulation to Mr. Salim Khan, his family, parents and relatives for the position and also extend our fullest cooperation and prayers for success in his effort and struggle as Minister. We also congratulate the people of Chitral in general and to PPP office bearers in Chitral in particular. Our expectation from proud son of Chitral is as under:-

1. Establishing strong contacts with Capital Islamabad for mega projects.
2. Projects approved and in the pipelines in Chitral to be continued.
3. Share in Royalty from Hydro Electric power to Chitral.
4. Improvement of roads and bridges throughout Chitral.
5. Linking Chitral to Tajikistan and bringing gas pipelines from Central Asia.
6. Optimum use of water resources for Hydro Electric Power.
7. Making Chitral a marble city and city of industrial/gem stones.
8. Activating and strengthening Local Support Organizations (LSOs) and Civil Societies working in and outside Chitral making development possible and taking its fall out benefits to poor at grass root level.
9. Making standard and quality of nation building department & private organizations high strengthening public private partnership in the district.
10. Finally but the most important of all for Chitral and Chitralis is that soil of Chitral should be made the soil of peace, brotherhood, love and harmony.

We expect you to be effective, resourceful and creative in dealing with persons and institutions locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for poverty reduction.

Through your esteemed news paper (ChitralTimes.Com), I would like to convey my heartiest congratulations to all the Chitrali people specially Mr. Saleem Khan on his appointment as a minister of population. Mr. Saleem Khan is a young & experienced leader and he knows how to solve the problems of Chitrali peoples. He has the potential to lead the Chitrali nation in every field of life. We pray for his successful career and service to the people of Chitral.
