Sardar Muhammad khan termed as Bhutto of Chitral

It was astonishing rather shocking to read a news report appeared in both the chitral based online newspapers  regarding a recent statement by some so called PPP workers. The news item tells that some of the PPP workers termed one of the NA candidate as Bhutto of Chitral.

I am sure those people who think like this are out of their mind. Mr. Bhutto is widely considered to be the only real leader this country has ever produced after the father of the nation. equating an election candidate's status to two times elected prime minister of this country is not only outrageous but also a disgrace to the nation.

Before making such an outragious claim one needs to realise the fact that the said candidate was a member of PPP some 5 months back. It has not been more than 2 years since he foramally joined the party. After not being able to prove himself as a suitable candidate he fielded himself as an independent candidate at the behest of some of the nazimins who had contested elections against their own party candidates some five years back in the local elections. Instead of blaming the party leaders if they could look into their own collars, they will surely see plethora of conspiracies against the party of which they have been key players in the past. Thier continued anti-PPP activities have inflicted a considerable loss to the party in past.

There are rules of the game everywhere-politics is not an exception. The party ticket was decided by Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto herself while she was alive. The party leaders had to obey what their chairperson had ordered.The nazimins again disobeyed the party leaders' directives and fielded their own candidate against the wishes of the party. They claim to be representing the PPP workers. But the PPP workers don't know who these people are? where these people have been before? what they did during their five year tenure as Nazims? and so on so forth. Every body knows that PPP's workers vote for an ideology, they vote for Bhutto's , they vote for Arrow(Teer). Will somebody who is a PPP worker vote for something other than Arrow? I don't think so. If some body has a doubt, refer to the history of elections.

It is therefore my appeal to PPP voters to show their strength on this day of judgement in such a way that no other conspirator should have the courage to distabize the strongest party of the country in future.

Bhutto can be individualized but not localized

This letter is written in reference to the news posted at Chitral times by PSF students saying that Mr. Sardar (an Independent candidate for NA 32) is the Bhutto of Chitral. It was very shocking to know that the real future genre of PPP Chitral have no idea of what it means to be a Bhutto or PPP loyalist. My dear friends for you Bhutto may be a person who was very vocal and a friend of poor, but for millions of people in Pakistan and abroad he was an institution in itself. He was a once bestowed gift of God to this part of the world. We love him because he was not Sindhi Bhutto, Panjabi Bhutto, Balochi Bhutto nor Pashtu Bhutto he was only Bhutto. You can not confine Bhutto to any geography, any sect or any other kind of local identity. Bhutto is a trade mark of independence, moderation, courage, confidence and sacrifice for the right cause. The word Bhutto can be individualized but not localized�as Bhutto said in one of its speech , �Bhutto Aik Nahi Doo Hain, Aik Wo Jo Yahan Khara Hay , Aik Aap�, so everyone who things like Bhutto , who shares the vision of Bhutto is Bhutto and in my view you all are Bhutto if you have the confidence in yourself and if there is a lack of vision and confidence there is confusion and than one starts looking for local Bhuttos like my friends in Chitral are doing. We respect all the people of Chitral including you but we request you to realize the reality before you just speak out what ever comes in your mind. To be loyalist to Bhutto, one needs to follow the party discipline, to suppress his/her personal wishes for the greater cause and above all not to go for short cuts. The struggle for democracy and for the basic right of the masses is not an easy course nor can it be achieved by slogans Therefore we have to be patient and be ready to sacrifice our personal agendas for the sake of our national agenda.
It was also very socking to read the comment from Mr. Wazir the Nazim of yarkhoon against the president of PPP Chitral in a public gathering at Drosh . Chitral Dost is a group represented by different political parties with shared vision and it is never a PPP specific platform, so there was no reason to speak against PPP leadership from this platform because it is an internal issue of PPP and it should be solved internally. We think PPP as our family and we have the right to protect our family and to keep our privacy intact therefore I strongly denounce Mr. Wazir�s statement. We do not need to tell him about his political vision as it is very much evident from previous performance in the last three years. We are fed up of this puppet show which has no ending and we request the PPP leadership to take a timely decision about these political refuges to save the party from further damages.
