Dear Sir,

First of all I would like to congratulate your team effort for representing Chitral through Chitral time�s website in a broader community. So, as a Chitrali woman on one hand I am really proud of your work but on the other hand I have some reservations. Firstly, almost every single peace of work in your web page is male dominated and in the name of women involvement there are few ladies. The level of these ladies participation is confined to topics related to Islam and women�s role or moral lessons of life (refer to Farida�s writing). I wonder that through these writings what kind of messages we are conveying to our new generation. In my opinion now it�s the correct time to encourage women to participate in more intellectual discussions and challenge the current situation, where men are considered as more intellectual and leaders. It is very important to bring change in our beliefs and practices to develop a complete healthy and balanced society. Until and unless women are not encouraged to come forward and prove themselves in every field of life we would not be able to provide good role models to our new generations. Due to not having women role models in every sphere of life children develop gender stereotypical identities about their own selves and other men and women.

I know that you will open heartedly try to incorporate this feedback to maintain the quality of our chitraltimes.com .
