During the days, when the news of confrontation hatred and destruction are everywhere than the news like that MR. Zahour Ahmad Baig has been promoted to District Manager (DM) in UADAP/NRSP is really a fresh breeze to all of Chitrali people. Zahour Ahmad Baig has been working in UDAP/NRSP for the last four years and with his hard work and intelligent he achieved such high position within a short period of time. We want to congratulate him and his whole family for his such a great and honourable achievement, this is not matter of pride for Mr. Zahour Ahmad only but also it is a matter of pride and satisfaction for whole Chitrali people.

�Cultural lag�


With the advancement of science and technology the gulf between east and west widen in practical life. We blindly follow the west in field of fashion, dress, beautification and other artificial things but we did not follow west in the matter of science, technology research and other field of economy etc. Because of this misjudgment and misperceptions of the problems, confusions and perplexities aroused between these two great civilizations. We developed in the field of fashion and also changed our life style but did not able to reach the other technological advancements of the west, this gulf is responsible to the social problems like suicide bombing, terrorism and in some where in the name of talibanization our whole socially because a prey of disorder and disturbance. The whole world is seemed like a planet of wasteland, nobody life is safe here, even the minister are being murdered the bright daylight. So the terminology the cultural lag is used in sociological sense, when once aspect of socially gets advancement and the other remain in the less advance position. It is also a rule of nature, that everywhere, there must be equilibrium otherwise the destruction and devastation would be the results of such kind of cultural lag, as we see in the world now a day.

Recently such kind of dispute arose within the district Chitral, here Sunnis and Ismialia communities are living a peaceful life. But from the few years some NGO, S are focusing on one community only, but when they noticed such kind of cultural lag, they reconsidered their mistake and initiated their projects in lower Chitral also, like their recent project of PDCC in Jugoor village Chitral. But some narrow minded local politicians are protesting again the project. Profession Development center Chitral is an organization which would give training from different people within Chitral especially from the education department. If the same organizations shifted to the upper Chitral, the same danger of cultural lag would also engulf our peace valley. As we know, that illiteracy deprivations from the basic needs are the basic causes of terrorisms and disturbance within the society. So in this critical situation we should not give room to such evils within our society, other wise no one would say to our district as a peace valley, so to maintain peace we should have to give every body�s right and also we have to generate awareness and to create job opportunities within Chitral for our youth.
