Educated people should play a positive role to calm down the situation

Dear Sir,

In reference to the letters of our different writers as The discourse of member of our provincial assembly apparently astonishing, one can say he is denying knowledge, he is stopping people seeking knowledge, as said by Mr. Guljee. He has disqualified himself from the public position, please don�t try to blackmail people by quoting hadith

If we were as followers of all that what Islam says then we were not in this position today, then we were not divided into communities as Ismailies, Sunnis, Shittie etc, the language what my friend Mr Guljee used it is something adding fuel to the fire, educated people should play a positive role to calm down the situation.

Definitely, it would be misinterpretation of his (MPA) speech. What I conclude from his speech that is equal opportunities should be given to all students of our district whether they are Ismailies or Sunnis disregards to their religious association.

Equal educational facilities to the students if is the motto of this university, no bias attitude will be there disregards of religious background of students then we welcome this university, but unfortunately ground realities and our previous experiences are not that encouraging.

This university should not patronize only Ismaily students, as does Dolomuch hostel, there is no single sunni student is boarding there, like Aga khan health majority ismailys have been appointed there , like aga khan education majority ismailys have been employed, like their scholarship schemes only ismaily students are illegible, like micro finance bank as they can not find talented people in Sunni community. That�s all what developed a sense of deprivation even in educated Sunni community. Hundreds of Sunni graduates are there in the district with the same reservations. Chitral can not any more afford any single effort to wider the gap between Sunni and Ismaily community, whether that is financially or educationally already created by the said organizations.

If it is to serve a single minor community then it is in the larger interest of our district to close this university topic at soonest possible time.

PDC impart professional training to teachers, irrespective of their cast or creed

It is really regrettable that our public representative has attempted to create communal disharmony by his irresponsible and provocative speech. Opposition to the establishment of an educational institution in an area which badly needs quality education is clearly an inimical attitude toward our young generation. The under question Professional Development Centre will impart professional training to teachers of Chitral, irrespective of their cast or creed as a regional branch of the Aga Khan University, Karachi which is purely a non communal Institution where all the meritorious students across the country are admitted We feel ashamed when such insane behavior is demonstrated by a religious cum political leader. How one can expect development in a backward locality like Chitral if, it is represented by such a narrow minded representative?
I think it is a political gimmick of our MPA with the approach of general elections. But such cheap tactics are old tested and the people of Chitral can not be befooled any more. The letters and articles appearing in the on line papers                www.chitraltimes.com unequivocally condemn the negative approach of our MPA and that makes it transparent clear that Chitralis are fully aware of the fact that such kind of sectarian rhetoric are harmful for the peace and development of their poor district and those who propagate such poisonous issues are not the well wishers of the people.
We expect from the print and electronic media to do their best in discouraging such half educated political opportunist and preach unity amongst the peace loving people of Chitral.

�Invisible wings�

Maulana Jalal-u-din Rumi once said that �You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life�. Every creature in this universe is born free, but later on some of him or her enslaved by the human being. Human being is chained everywhere from the pre-historic period till the modern period. Whereas human being is also born free everywhere. The difference is that
those people in the history have been put on chain that were feeble weak and enable to resist, and also those people who didn�t have any scientific knowledge. It is proved in the history that comparatively very few British people conquered the whole Sub-Continent and also some people in a ship had conquered the America because of their knowledge and weapons, which was also the result of their scientific studies. When we compare the past human history with present political scenario of Islamic world, this is obvious everywhere that the Muslims have in the whole world been put in chains, they are being killed, murdered and insulted, this down fall and miseries are only because of the forgetfulness of the message of the our
Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said that to seek knowledge is an obligatory to every Muslim men and women. Maulana Rumi considers this knowledge and scientific research as a wing of the Muslims. We our selves have cut our wings and became a Caged birds for the opponents, they have never missed any opportunity to destroy and demolish the Muslims. The Muslims natural resources have been utilized for the destruction of fellow Muslims in the present world. The Scholars of Muslim world should come forward to awake the Muslim youth particularly and the entire Umma in general from this deep slumber and also try to make them aware from their this Invisible wing of knowledge and technology. Had the Muslim not put back the science and technology, the world history would have not been like this. But still the time is there and only time is a precious thing, which has been distributed among the entire humanity without any prejudice, so we should now open our eyes and resume our struggle for the progress in science and technology to combat our rival forces in the world, otherwise the world never feel
any mercy to up-root our monuments in this universe.
