Fight over Highway to Heaven
Keeping in view the recent event at Jughoor Mosque, and in the
light of my long affiliations with Aga Khan institution as a Suni,
and as aboriginal inhabitant of Jaghoor Dawashish, I would like to
share a few words with the readers of Chitral times and expect that
this massage will be communicated to as much of general public of
Chitral as possible.
The Mawlanas, Shahzadas and immature comrades of Chitral are trying
to emotionally black mail and to gain the sympathies of the
innocent people to achieve their political objectives. On the other
hand the irresponsible speeches of the workers of peoples party
are provoking the feelings of the public.
I believe that, the people of Jughoor are politically well aware of
every thing and tested each and every political and religious
figure under their nose. Jughoor has good number of its own Ullema
Hifaaz and Quraa, and I dont think any one from outside is needed
to teach us what is good for our faith and future and what is not.
The Darul-Uloom of Dawashish is established by high caliber and
very well known Ullema of Chitral, though the said Ullema are no
more there, but their descendents are very much present and have
enough knowledge of religion to guide the new generation of the
area.
At the same time I will also suggest that the so called higher ups
of AKES should quit the egotist behavior and be more responsible,
more flexible. They should try to understand and consider the
sensitivity of the location situation, and make decision with
development of mutual consensus with representatives of both
communities, without taking dictations of their Karachi based
bosses. For long lasting peace and harmony in Chitral, all the AKDN
institutions must acknowledge and take benefit of presence of
Sayeds in Ismaili Community, as they are the ones who have
centuries long experience of living together with other community
in Chitral.
The political Mawlanas should not be afraid of the old reputation
of Jughoor as Larkana, the as the people party is now divided and
hardly can keep their strength even in Larkana.
Rests are the customary politicians, over the time they themselves
have proved to be ineffective both for social and economic
development of Chitral, and at the top the new generation is no
longer suppressed by them, as the slavery conformist (Pukhtuyo Lal
/Nichagho Lal etc) are no more existing to convince their
youngsters to vote as Nazoorana.
At the end we all as Chitralies must keep in mind that work on
Lawari tunnel is restarted after almost 30 years, our single
mistake could push us once again back into the era of frustration.
The FTR carrying 48 passengers is not the solution of growing
problems of Chitral in future, now in this election we have to take
extra care and think twice and thrice before going to poll our
votes.
