ATR 42-500 Service to Chitral
The day when ATR-Turbo start its service to Chitral would be and
the epoch making event in the history of Chitral. The day was also
historical when the first Fokker arrived here in Chitral in some
decades back. During the reign of MMA Chitral is going to be open,
to whole world via tunnel and as well as through by air, the PIA
Service was little bit disturbed because of the cancellation of
Fokker service in Pakistan. The people here Chitral felt
satisfaction and relief after this great news about PIA new service
and also praising the MMA govt. and their achievement in this
regard. Because of the common men is not aware of the ground
realities. Why the Fokker service stopped? It is because of the
Multan Clash, where more than fifty people were killed including
some high-ups also, on the next day Federal Cabinet decided to
cancel all the Fokker services within Pakistan after the sacrifice
of these people. And to replace all the Fokker Aero planes within
Pakistan was really a top-level decision. We the people of Chitral
are ready to give the credit to the present provincial govt. if
this would be able to force PIA authorities to reduce the fares in
such a situation when the Lawari Pass is closed, PIA authorities
shouldnt increase the rate of fares, because here in Chitral, the
people are not travel through PIA as an enjoyment because we dont
have any other options. Here in Chitral we dont need any club or
first class seat and the fares from Chitral to Peshawar Rs, 2070/-
from Peshawar to Chitral Rs, 2370. In Chitral every body knows that
only middle class and poor people are living here, no aristocrats
and bourgeois are living here, so our suggestion in this regard is
that this entire first class seat should be converted into economy
class, so common man can get full benefit from it. The economy
class fares have also been increased from 1470 to 1740 and from
Peshawar to Chitral it was 1680 and now it is 1990 Rs, These fares
are definitely out of the range of common man. If the fares
remained the same, then PIA service will only become the service of
economically great people, as it always that claims that Great
People to Fly with. In Chitral majority of the people are poor so
they would die without any transport, medical and educational
facilities. If government could not able to provide basic
facilities, then at least reduce the present PIA fares. Other wise
the common man would revolt against this tyrant government
officials, if the dissatisfaction and deprivation among the people
persist, that would certainly put in danger the existence of our
beloved country. The government should think to provide an actual
relief to the common man of the whole country in general and for
the people of Chitral in particular.
