People are paying monthly line rent but telephone service is not available.

Through this letter I want to draw the attention of higher authorities of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) and Federal Minister for Telecommunication, towards the poor and non satisfactory service of PTCL for upper Chitral specially Garumchashma tehsil of district Chitral. About Seven years ago telephone exchange was installed at proper Garumchashma, another exchange has been installed at Breshgaram Karimabad in year 2005, and from December, 06 to the end of March, 07, hardly for one month telephone exchange was functional; the main reason is non availability of sun for solar battery at boaster. The problem has been brought in the notice of divisional superintendent PTCL Chitral to arrange electric battery for the boaster but with the passage of four months no attention has been given towards the problem. People are paying monthly line rent but telephone service is not available.
In last couple of weeks Chitral weather was not favorable, many people died due to different natural disaster, snow avalanches etc. people living outside Chitral especially in down country facing problems to contact with their families at Garumchashma tehsil. This shows the irresponsibility of PTCL staff.
The higher authorities of PTCL and Federal Minister for telecommunication are requested to please take immediate notice of this issue, to solve the problem urgently and to take action against the responsible authorities of PTCL.
