IN THE MEMORY OF EHSAN

It is ending summer in Chitral

the leaves look falling earlier,

since you have left our side,

I can see from this far end of the world,

Chitral looks desert wasteland

The ground with your blood looks covered

The sun hides its face ashamed

sinking beneath the horizon of its rebirth

Nothing is left to see

on the other side of river from Jughoor

The trees look naked stand

Mayoon has left Chitral,

With its melodious songs

Is the season of melancholy for all your loving friends

The seasons, they will change

But you will never return,

I shall never see again

Wish you were in Chitral,

I would have come to see you there.

You are sleeping deep under the cool shadow of Chinar,

But not me slept so far.
