PTV and its new decision

According to the latest news about PTV is that the local programs of PTV will be telecasted from the National TV from the 1st August 2007. this is a major decision taken by the PTV authorities, but as we envisage in this decision is that the PTV authorities are unaware of the ground realities in areas like Chitral and Dir including major areas of Malakand division, these areas are neglected areas, because we don�t have other channels except PTV-1 and PTV World and also we don�t have cable facility here in Chitral.

The Pushto speaking community of Chitral and Drosh were keenly interested in local programmes but these people were deprived from the local programmes with the implementation of this bold decision taken by PTV authorities. Chitral district was its own unique culture and tradition, but PTV never gave and specific time for the preservation and presentation of these unique culture to the national level. PTV is a representative channel of whole Pakistani community and it should give specific time to every cultural of our beloved country, otherwise the disharmony and deprivation would increase among the local communities of Pakistan, it is indeed the responsibility of PTV to decrease the gulf between the people of Pakistan and make it a united nation, so we can progress and become a strong nation.
