Illegal Bus Stands in Peshawar
Dear Sir,
Through this very online newspaper I would like to thanks Mr. Habib
Mughal President Trader Brothers and other office bearers for
taking successive steps regarding the illicit and illegal bus
stands moving from Peshawar to Chitral. It is worth mentioning that
the flying coach services in this route have created a lot of
problems and difficulties to the passengers. These are the one side
of the coin while on the other side there is the behavior of the
adda owners and office bearers which is not a human behavior. They
instruct the passengers to reach the stand at 6:00 pm while the
vehicle moves at 9:00 or 10:00pm. While moving to Chitral the
vehicle doesn't moves in its actual road, the drivers take the
short cut roads keeping in risk the lives of the passengers, in
short we may say that the life of 18 peoples doesn't keep any
meaning in front of the drivers, on the other side the drivers
demand for huge amounts for the luggage's and baggage's that the
passengers bring with them (according to a passenger coming from
Karachi that hasn't paid one penny from Karachi to Peshawar while
Rs.200.00 rupees has been taken in this very route)
In Chitral some 95% of the peoples use the service as a mean of
transportation, while the rest 05% have the capability to fly. So
it is the responsibility of the state to protect the life of the
public in order to avoid accidents and provide safe journey to the
public. The safe journey and safe roads are the rights of any
citizen, and it is one of the basic requirements.
It is humbly requested in honor of the higher authorities and the
related officials to take immediate measures regarding the problem
being faced by Chitrali's and I may suggest that adda owners should
stop the illegal bus stands, and a stand in General Bus Stand at
Peshawar should be allocated for Chitrali pass angers.
The road from Timergirah to Dir should be constructed in safe mode.
And Mr. Mughal go ahead we the public with you.
Thank you,
Syed Tahir Hussain
Kuragh Chitral.
