G-6 and Chitral town

The whole nation feels sorry for the miseries of the 20,000 people of G-6 Islamabad who are suffering due to having a seminary in their vicinity. However the sufferings of the people of Chitral town are more woeful because 60,000 people of Chitral town are suffering from the shortage of water and electricity due to voting for MMA in the general elections 2002 and local government elections 2005. For the last fifty days the people of Chitral town have been experiencing the hidden and seek of electricity and blockade of water connections. In the markets and residential areas, we have daily 14 hours load shedding, 8 hours during the day and 6 hours during the nights. Our representatives are engaged in making hay while the sun shines. Our Nazims and Councillors are spectators to a wasteful show. The experiences of 2002 and 2005 elections have a lesson for us. We the people of Chitral town need to vote for a leader who belongs to the town, who is accessible to the people and who is bold enough to represent the people of the whole district. Like the people of G-6 Islamabad we are also experiencing our share of curfew these days.
