WHISTLING WINGS

Its when the first sign of autumn appears, its when the first cool breeze hits you that you get a chance to see these visitors arriving in their huge numbers from a distant land. Waterfowl arrive in many varieties and numbers in the valley of Chitral. These visitors land

into our valley in search of resting and feeding spots. They are however hunted with great pride as soon as they arrive into our area. The wildlife department issues hunting permits and the shootings begin. Many people in our valley live above the law, in terms of not holding proper shooting licenses and proper firearm licenses.

People who do not possess these legal documents should not be allowed to hunt the various games.

Firearm licenses should be more frequently checked by the proper concerned authorities. This will ensure more peace in the region and will also be a way to protect the different types of game found in our magnificent valley
