Socio economic development does not fly but comes by walking on roads

Dear Editor

We the Chitralis living in Karachi read with interest the news of widening, improvement and black topping of Booni Mastuj and Shandur road with a truck able bridge over the Yarkhun river in Mastuj, reconstruction of Brep bridge connecting valley Yarkhun/Broghel to rest part of Chitral. We should accept the fact that socio economic development does not fly but comes by walking on roads. These roads and Lowari Tunnel when completed and come into operation shall definitely bring socio economic development to the people of Chitral.

We are happier to know that Shandur Festival, Broghel Festival and Kalash Festival have been included in Pakistan Visit Callendar 2007. Let us see these festivals and enjoy it with peace and love for each other. Congratulations to local government and specially Tehsil Nazims Mastuj/Chitral and UC Nazim Yarkhun.
