EPITAPH FOR A DOCTOR

I lack appropriate words to express the loss of Chitral over the sad and untimely demise of Dr. Zareen Taj. She was the first lady doctor of Chitral and was a professional, diligent and self-made medical specialist. Such people are in true sense the great ones who make the world realize of their departure and leave a vacuum that can�t be filled by anyone else. The unfortunate death of Dr Zareen is shocking for all the Chitralis but I�ve personally felt it a lot as she was my classmate and best friend during her school life at Muhammadi Girls Education Academy Karachi. She was not only a serious and assiduous student but was also a very nice human being who can never be forgotten by her near and dear ones.

May Almighty Allah shower His blessings upon her departed soul. Aameen

Condolence Message

I been away from Chitral since long and during my absence lot of things have happened. Some good while some sad, l like the sad demise of ex-SP Chitral Mr.Sharif Ahnmad,
mother of nazim Charun Mr. Amirullah and that of Shazada Sarir, councillor Arandu Haji Abdul and Dr. Zarin Taj and her husband...a very tragic incident. I was able to contact some of the bereaved families and their relatives through telephone to offer condolence while others I could not. Through your well-visited web site, I would wish to express my deeply felt condolence and pray that they get abode in the heavens (Amin). I share the grief with them, because I know what such losses mean. May Allah give them strength to bear the irreversible losses.

OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE

A Lot of People lunched institutions, some could establish them, but few of them could hardly change the trend in the world, especially in the field of education. Hats are on to Mr. G.D. Langlands who definitely changed the educational trend in district Chitral, and his school and college became as a model for the hundreds of institutions later on the took off their flights, and served the Chitrali people. Some days back we just read that the name of Saurj Public School and college is changed and given it the name of G.D. Langlands Model Public School and College, this is a very appreciable decision taken by the governing body of the school. We know the Mr. G.D. Langlands brought millions of rupees from down country as well as from abroad for this institute, acquired land and erected magnificent building in an isolated area of proper Chitral. Thousands of students taken benefit from this institution and now they are serving the nation in the mainstream.
But the distressing thing, which, I would like to express through these lines, is that, the institute with the hard struggle of Mr. G.D. Langlands is not economically established yet. It has become an economical black hole; the reason may be the loose administration on the corrupt mindedness of some of our own people. But here the drastic steps should be taken to remedy it. It is now our national asset, if proper administrative steps were not taken this economical failure would vanish this trend maker institute as well. It is obviously unrealistic decision just to change its name and if we not made it economically stable, it is just like an old wine in a new bottle.
