Bravo Lakshan!
Dear editor,
I had not visited your web for quite some time these couple of
days, due to some fault in my pc. Today I was going through the
letters to the editor and read the letter by Lakshan BiBi, in
thankful reply to the felicitations she had been receiving and was
honestly moved by her true and sincere feelings while expressing
her gratitude to all those who congratulated her for the award she
received for the great services she has been rendering to her
people in particular and to Chitral in general. This award of
course, is too small in comparison to the tremendous social work
she is doing, but never the less her services have been recognized
and that is what really matters.
Well, I was talking of the sincerity her letter is carrying. She is
a lady who, despite lots of criticism from her own folks and
others, has always kept her morale high in pursuing the goals she
has set for the services to the marginalized people of the Kalasha
valleys with a view to enhance their life style. She, in her letter
has referred to Iqbals verse, which she had been inspired by, as
far back as, when she first entered the middle school in Bumburet
as a student, and her firm belief that sincere prays are
reciprocated by Allah Almighty and she also has full convictions in
the peaceful coexistence and love for humanity which the Chitralis
have in abundance. What is more appreciable in her letter is that
she projects herself not as another Kalasha lady but as a Chitrali.
Lakshan! Bravo, thats brilliant. We consider this award too small
for what you have been doing for the past so many years in the
field of social work. Keep it up. Our prays are always with you.
May Allah guide you on to the path that leads to the glories in
this world and the eternal one that is to follow. Amin.
