�Power Breakdown in Chitral City�

This refers to the frequent failure of electricity in Chitral City, which has caused great hardships for the people of city area. The daily load shedding of electricity has brought miseries in the summer days.
In a city like Chitral, this frequent failure of electricity is not understandable. We have hydel power station, which is very old, and no proper attention has been paid so for to upgrade it. It is very astonishing that the population of Chitral city has increased rapidly, but no steps were taken to meet the demands of this overcrowded city. As a result, demand supply syndrome created. There is plenty of water at present hydel power station; installation of new machines can generate the capacity of power station and production. The electricity, which has been brought from Malakand, is also suffering from low voltage problem. The consumers of this phase also face routine load shedding.
So, the only solution to this problem is that the demands of electricity should be met using indigenous power resources. More hydel power stations should be set up, because there is abundance of such suitable sites.
In this connection, District govt, our MPA�s , and MNA  should pay proper attention to it.
