A VIEW ON EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN CHITRAL

Education is the essential factor of progress of any nation, but unfortunately there are 49% people of Chitral are still illiterate in 21st century. 90% people of Chitral are belong to middle and poor classes, they couldn't able to send their children in standard school, therefore they send their children in Govt:t school.
When we ask about the decline of Govt: school from the relevant Govt:t officials they still claim that Govt: school are batter then private school, because the better building structure, Trained teachers, free of cost books for the students. Inspite of all these why the students of Govt School are weaker than private School. Let me answer to these questions.

As for as building structure is concerned there are usually two rooms in every primary school one is supposed to be used for office plus teacher residents room and remaining one is used for six classes as a class room. How someone can expect activity based teaching from teacher in this congested environment, which directly affect another class.
Similarly in every school there are two teachers in primary level. To dividing forty minutes in six classes a teacher have to teach three classes during the period of forty minutes, thus a teacher teach fourteen minutes in every class, while in private schools fourteen minutes are reserved for motivation only. How we expect the quality education from Govt: schools?
If the Govt: paid handsome salary to the teacher they never be absent, but they are absent some months without permission. I have evidence for the same. After transferring in backwards areas like upper Chitral, the administrative officers never visit these areas. That is why the teacher are in their home and officers are taking enjoyment in their offices.

Through your esteemed paper I request to the PEM of N.W.F.P, MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali MPAs, DCO, and District Nazim Maghfirat Shah for the name of your Lard please take serious action about the educational system of Chitral, and  officers to be bound to visit school. To avoid the absenteeism all the PTC, CT teacher should be recruited locally. Similarly there are so many other problems such as shortage of Science teacher in high school, old teaching methodology, physical punishment, ignorant of career planning, shortage the number of teacher and building, unsatisfactory level of salary. I am very proud on abdul Akbar Chitrali that two members of Chitral Student Welfare Organization met the Prime Minster by his reference. My special request to MNA, please kindly address this issue in National Assembly that English Medium should be introduced in Govt: schools. People say that Urdu is our national language I have no hesitation to saying that Urdu is the language of poor people only. Because rich people usually have an easy access to English language as a medium from private school. But what about the poor and they are suffered just because of un affordability. If it is our national language, it should be our official language, the competitive exams like CSS, PCS, and ISSB TEST should be in Urdu language but we use English for these why Urdu is our educational language? The Govt has to choose one of them.
