Lowari Tunnel and Environmental Hazards

In July 15th in NEWS Sarhad Conservation Network (SCN) expressed its deep concern over the cutting of Deodar trees in Lowari and demolishing Chitral scouts Check posts by NHA for Lowari Construction. SCN declared it as Environmental Hazards I am asking from the SCN authority in three years ago forest in Chitral caught fire and result thousands of trees were changed to ash and no body was there to save the valuable forest where was the SCN? All the international and local Conservation agency were sleeping .Thanks to Chitral scouts controlled the fire and saved remaining forests .Last years in the north of Chitral a village Brep which is famous for the apples lost all the trees , crops and animals due to flooding, biodiversity was destroyed .where was SCN ?
The ruthless cutting of Dedor tress in Chitral forest and smuggling of its wood from Chitral to Afghanistan and Dir is becoming routine of the day .In such great numbers smuggling possible with out the consent of forest department? Where is the role of SCN and others Conservation Agencies?
Lowery tunnel is inaugurated by president and welcomed by Chitralies. With its construction the dream of every Chitrali will come true. Does the SCN know how many Chitralies  have sacrificed their lives in the past crossing the Lowari Pass and how it�s important for Chitralies. Chitral remain cut off from the rest of the country for more then six month. Due to bad weather PIA regular flights to Chitral also not possible.  As a result many patients die and many Chitralies dishonored and looted in Afghanistan during the journey in winter. Students could not reach for admission in time and many can not avail of the  interviews for jobs. It is difficult for any one to think as to how the Chitralies face difficulties inside Chitral due to non availability of utility goods after blockage of Lowry pass? SCN and other agencies could not feel and imagine how hurdles are linked with Lowari.
Trees are  definitely very important for the human beings, but in the modern age human beings cant not survive on forest (jungle) alone. Human life is more important then trees, it need infrastructure for batter life, important of road not less the blood as in the body.
Like other citizen of Pakistan, Chitrlies have right to survive. For the survival of Chitralies Lowari Tunnel is vital .Therefore now agency has right to oppose the Lowari Tunnel in the name of so called environmental hazards.
