FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR PPP( P ) CENTRAL LEADERSHIP

The letter to pppp leadership through your web page, by Garzi, an apparently low profile individual with otherwise great insight for reading the minds of the opinion makers in the street, has told the leadership of pppp, a party that enjoys the largest public support that comes from the poor, in very simple but meaningful words, how the power politics of the pppp slowly drains out its support base by allowing affluent people who manage to infiltrate the party through sheer strength of money and get into the seats of power only to serve their personal interests.

Mr. Garzi�s analysis is based on naked truth, because when strength (the large support of the poor in pppp�s case) becomes the weakness, the slow poisoning begins and drives the party to its end. Experience has shown that people having no ideological sympathy or sincerity to what Shaheed Bhutto and his colleagues were committed to, while laying the foundations of the party, got into the power through pppp tickets, invariably used the scepter of authority and power against the very source they were voted in by, because they were never been through the agony of poverty, depravity and shelterlessness as the pppp voters are experiencing day in and day out

What Garzy refers to, is an apprehension that is fast gaining ground in Chitral as quite a number of opportunists have and while quite another few are in the row to avail the chance of grabbing the political power and authority through pppp votes. Such are the people who in the past had not missed a single chance to oppose the party and its leadership. If the party workers are ignored while awarding the party tickets and if the criteria is only money, then no one will be able to push and persuade the workers to vote in people who had been the enemies of the party, its ideology and manifesto in the recent past.

So Garzi�s analysis should not be brushed aside as trash and thrown into dustbin, by pppp leadership, while deciding award of the party tickets for the coming elections. IT IS THE WORKERS AND NOT THE MONEY that is the strength of pppp. So the strength should not be turned into weakness.
