ECNEC approves Rs. 8.86 Billion for Chitral

ISLAMABAD: MNA Chitral Shahzada Iftikharud Din has said that
the ECNEC Approves Rs 8.86 Billion Chitral Garam Chashama
Road on Saturday meeting. The next stage will be Tendering of Rs
8.86 Billion Project. The 67 KM NHA project has bridges connecting
Awi, Shogore and Karimabad and Andahti (Arkari Valley) besides
touching Mogh and going all the way to Gobor.
He said in next ECNEC meeting the 48 KM Rs 4.76 Billion "Chitral
Kalash Valleys Road" shall also be approved and tenders shall
floated for Broz, Ayun, Bumborate, Rumboor & Birir Roads inshallah.
While "152 KM Chitral Booni Mastuj Shandoor (CPEC) Project" costing
Rs 18.64 billion has been approves at TWP 1 at NHA and is expected
to be approved at NHA Executive Board in near future and will then
be approved at Ministry of Communications and then Planning
Commission of Pakistan at CDWP and ECNEC Meetings.
Meanwhile the Rs 18.64 billion 152 KM Chitral Booni Mastuj Shandoor
Road has been included by Planning Commission for Chinese Funding
at the Joint Working Group on Infrastructure (JWG) on 23rd Sept
2017 Karachi Meeting of CPEC.
Also the detailed design of the Rs 17.42 billion South Korean EXIM
Bank funded Project for Kalkatak Chitral portion of Chakdara
Chitral Expressway will be started by NHA which will covers
widening of the planned Expressway from Kalkatak Drosh Chitral
portion at cost of Rs 10.2 billion. The project funding by South
Korean EXIM Bank has already been approved by ECNEC in August 2016.
Survey of the estimated Rs 7 billion Terich to Lot Owir Road
(Budgetary) PSDP 2017-18 Road Project will begin a week after Eid
holidays in Sept 1st week inshallah that will have 4 additional RCC
Bridges apart of the two already NHA approved RCC bridges at Gasht
Lasht and Kuragh and Nishkuh to Werkhop.
Deputy Director Planning NHA Ishtiaq will accompany MNA during the
Survey of Terich Lot Owir Road inshallah immediately after Eid
