Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visits Chitral and addressed a public meeting

CHITRAL: Chairperson of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan will be completely washed away from the country in the aftermath of 2018 general elections and PPP will gain a landslide victory due to its policies based on amelioration of the poor across the country on the basis of which it will contest elections.

Addressing the public meeting in Chitral polo ground here on Saturday during his maiden visit to the district and kicking off his mass campaign before elections, he said that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified due to his own follies as he did not cooperate with PPP to repeal the relevant articles which has been included in it by a military dictator.

“These articles he intended to use against others which were discriminatory in nature but as per law of nature, he himself
succumbed to the controversial articles and was sent packing when came to be applied”, he said.

He said that the accountability of Nawaz Sharif was still not over as he had yet to face each and every penny of the nation which he looted and plundered and the magnitude of his corruption is a large that his politics will come to an end by the next year when the people will come to know his wrongdoings.

Mr. Zardari said that corruption was the biggest problem the country was facing now and said that there should be across the board accountability so that the corrupt and the crooked politicians are ousted from the political arena of the country on one hand and recover the looted wealth from them on the other.

Coming hard on the Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, he said that his politics revolved round accusations and blames and he befooled the people of Khber Pakhtunkhwa people are suffering worst due to the bad governance and rampant corruption and the involvement of chief minister in corrupt practices which is testified by none other than own minister and a lady MNA of his party. “The only change is that the kichen of Imran Khan at Bani Gala and the aeroplane owned by Jahangir Tarin are run by the earnings which they collected from the contracts of developmental works in the province”, he said adding that the PTI government has miserably failed to deliver as 45 percent of the budget is lapsed every year which they cannot utilize due to their incompetence.

He said that Imran Khan was not extolling the Supreme Court judges in its public meeting which will lead to politicize them and asked the apex court to take up a number of cases pending before it since long which included Asghar Khan case and the reference about Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case keeping in view their importance in the national politics.

Regarding the strategy of his party in the forthcoming general elections, he said that it had chalked out a manifesto and program to prove panacea of all ills of the poor masses of the country who suffered since long.

He described the sectors of education and health to be put in the high priority list and said that different strata of the society will also be given special priority which included peasants who will be given loans and subsidized agricultural implements while youth folks will also get special attention.

Mr. Zardari said that whenever PPP came to power, it started development works on recorded number which included Lowari tunnel project which was started on 1975 and was converted into road tunnel from rail tunnel in 2010.

The provincial president of the party, Engineer Humanyun Khan, district president Salim Khan and MPA from Chitral Syed Sardar Hussain also spoke on the occasion and described in detail about the contributions of PPP to the district.

The PPP chairman was accompanied by Farhatullah Babar, Sherry Rahman, Senator Rubina Khalid and Nadeem Afzal Chann during his visit to Chtiral.
