Fashion design and electrician competition held

CHITRAL: Fashion design and electrician competition was held at Government Technical and vocational Center for boys Balach under auspices of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NVATTC). Some 15 girls participated in fashion design competition from 3 colleges Govt Technical and vocational center for boys Balach, Govt. Shaheen vocational Technical institute for women and Drosh Institute of Computer and Technology Education. 10 boys in tailoring completion from different colleges. While 10 students participated in general electrician competition from two colleges of mentioned above. Former MPA and president of Pakistan Muslim League Chitral Saeed Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Manzoor Elahi principal of GTVC.

6 experts performed as jury of the competition who announced their result. In fashion design competition Sabin Alam of DICTE stood first who were also given rupees 25000 cash award, Sabeela Sardar obtained second position who were given certificate and cash award of Rs 20000 and Amjad Hussain stood third in Tailoring competition who were given Rs 15000 cash award along with certificate ISO 2009 certified.

In General electrician Kashiuddin of DICTE stood first, Abdul Wasi stood second while Muhammad Naeem Shah of GTVC obtained third position. Irfanullah principal of DITE Drosh while conveying message of Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema head of NVATTC said that under prime Minister Hunar mand program (youth skill program) 3400 youth of KP and FATA will be trained who will also be given Rs 50000 interest free loan for running their own business.

He said that these students would be given best opportunity of livelihood within the country and abroad. Students of KP and FATA will be given 3000 and 4000 scholorship per month he added.

Principal of Technical college Manzoor Elahi said that competition will be held on provincial and national level among the successful students youth of this competition. Chief Guest Saeed Ahmad Khan, M Kosar Advocate, Sajidullah Advocate president of district bar association Chitral, Shabnam Ara and other also spoke on the occasion who highly hailed prime minister youth skill program and termed a mail stone of development for such a backward areas like Chitral. The jury committee strongly condemned Principal and staff of Shaheen Vocational Technical institute for women who tried cheating and carried a readymade suite to produce it in competition.

Talking to this scribe some girls students thanked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and demanded for continuation of such type of skill programs. They also demanded for establishment of handicraft and vocational center for women in different parts of Chitral who have great talent but facing lack of facilities.
