Executive Advisory Committee for CPEC, KP meeting held

Peshawar : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Executive Advisory Committee
for CPEC projects meet in CM Secretariat Peshawar, presided by Mr.
Ghulam Dastagir, the Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone
Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC). The meeting was
attended by Head of strategic Support Unit, Mr. Sahbzada Saeed
Ahmad, Director Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar, Dr.
Mohsin Khan, Secretary Planning & Development Department, Mr.
Shahab Ali Shah and senior officials from the Department of
Industries, Commerce and Technical Education.
The participants of Executive Advisory Committee commended the
success of KP Roadshow in China, where more than 80 MoUs were
signed for various projects, with Chinese companies, and discussed
the progress, update scenario there. It was agreed that a proper
roadmap be set to draw full benefits from the success of the Road
Show and to attract new investment on the back of CPEC. It was also
suggested that the relevant government departments identify
valuable ‘Demonstration Projects’ under CPEC framework.
Moving onwards, it was agreed that a K-P Investment Summit will be
held in the province, in which investors and renowned firms from
around the world would invited. It was felt important that Trade
and Commercial Counsels/Representatives of all the Diplomatic
Missions in the country be properly engaged, to elicit foreign and
commercial interest in K-P.
