InayatUllah inspects under-construction Bab-e-Peshawar flyover

CHITRAL: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for LG&RD
InayatUllah Khan inspected under-completion Bab-e-Peshawar flyover
at phase-3 Hayatabad. He went through its various portions and
apprised himself of progress so far made on it. Director General
Peshawar Development Authority Saleem Wattoo, Project Director NLC
and other concerned high ups also accompanied him.
Talking to media on this occasion InayatUllah Khan said that Bab-e-Peshawar
costing Rs 1.70 billion was flagship mega project of his provincial
govt. He said this two level modern fly over was unique all over
the country that would ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of
millions of vehicles daily passing from this area besides removing
traffic jam hazards for good. He said it besides millions of the
population would also facilitate passage of countless students
reaching to nearby universities, colleges and schools as well as
patients of the local big hospitals.
Senior Minister while giving good news to the journalists revealed
that the flyover would be complete in all respect by 25th of this
month and he would himself travel on it to know about its
completion status while Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would
formally inaugurate it on 1st of the next month.
Replying a query about delay in completion of the mega project he
said that delayed handing over of the approved map to NLC,
lethargic cooperation of some departments including Railways,
Suigas and WAPDA etc and bad weather conditions though caused some
delay but it was negligible keeping the bulk of work on this mega
project. He said it was a mega scheme that was being completed in a
record period with accelerated speed for the 1st time in history of
InayatUllah later visited camp office of NLC and its construction
plants. He evinced keen interest in its heavy machinery and
building equipment. He also met the NLC staff and appreciated their
zeal of work.
