Chitral Times Report

CHITRAL: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for LG&RD InayatUllah Khan inspected under-completion Bab-e-Peshawar flyover at phase-3 Hayatabad. He went through its various portions and apprised himself of progress so far made on it. Director General Peshawar Development Authority Saleem Wattoo, Project Director NLC and other concerned high ups also accompanied him.

Talking to media on this occasion InayatUllah Khan said that Bab-e-Peshawar costing Rs 1.70 billion was flagship mega project of his provincial govt. He said this two level modern fly over was unique all over the country that would ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of millions of vehicles daily passing from this area besides removing traffic jam hazards for good. He said it besides millions of the population would also facilitate passage of countless students reaching to nearby universities, colleges and schools as well as patients of the local big hospitals.

Senior Minister while giving good news to the journalists revealed that the flyover would be complete in all respect by 25th of this month and he would himself travel on it to know about its completion status while Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would formally inaugurate it on 1st of the next month.

Replying a query about delay in completion of the mega project he said that delayed handing over of the approved map to NLC, lethargic cooperation of some departments including Railways, Suigas and WAPDA etc and bad weather conditions though caused some delay but it was negligible keeping the bulk of work on this mega project. He said it was a mega scheme that was being completed in a record period with accelerated speed for the 1st time in history of the province.
InayatUllah later visited camp office of NLC and its construction plants. He evinced keen interest in its heavy machinery and building equipment. He also met the NLC staff and appreciated their zeal of work.
