Chitral Times Report
PESHAWAR: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and CMís Advisor
for C&W Akbar Ayub Khan have taken strong notice of media reports
about caving in a portion of Under-construction Bridge on Pajaggi
Road near Bacha Khan Markaz Peshawar.
They soon after listening about the report contacted Provincial
Secretary Communication to visit the site to ascertain it and
taking action against the concerned officials responsible for it.
Hence Secretary Communication and Works (C&W) Engr Muhammad Asif
Khan rushed to the spot along with other high ups of the department
and examined the portion of under-construction bridge that was
temporarily opened for traffic. He found the media report correct
as rifts had been emerged in deck slab of the bridge. So he
immediately ordered inquiry against the three responsible officers
viz XEN, SDO and SE (sub-engineer) besides issuing instructions for
the reconstruction of the bridge.
Meanwhile KP Chief Minsterís Advisor for C&W Akbar Ayub Khan has
assured that not only the bridge would be reconstructed and the
responsible officers in its substandard construction would be
punished but work on widening of Pajaggi Road would be completed on
crash grounds basis.
