World Teacherís day celebrates at AKHSS, Kuragh

KURAGH: In order to give grand honor and tribute to the
profession of teaching, a full-fledged program was organized by the
students of AKHSS Kuragh. In one way or the other, the students
demonstrated their talents through diverse activities each with a
theme closely associated with the occasion. The main items
presented by the students i.e. recitation of Hamd and Naít, acting
out plays, delivering speeches, playing various types of games, and
sharing poetry enhanced the significance of the program. All the
items were greatly appreciated by the audience.
As usual the function began with recitation from the Holy Quran by
Ms. Maria Afzal,a student of Grade 12 followed by a heart touching
Hamd Sahrif by the student of Grade 11 named Ms. Kulsum Bibi. The
initialpart of the program ended with Naath Sharif recited in a
rich melodious voice by the student of Grade 8 Ms.Mehak Riyal. The
second part included plays, speeches, poetry, art and role plays to
give tribute to the teachers worldwide.
The first play enacted by the students of Grade 10 depicted the
true picture of the influence a teacher has in moulding the
studentsí life achieving their long-term goals. The other play
beautifully showed the amalgamation of the letters constituent of
the profile of AKHSS Kuragh i.e. Talent, Hardwork, Ethics,
Enthusiasm, Creativity and Responsibility. Through a highly
spirited and energetic speech, Ms. Fahima Baig, student of Grade 11
shed light on the importance of teacher from Islamic perspective.
Ms. Nida Sultan, student of Grade 11 delivered an efficient speech
highlighting the untiring efforts of a teacher in nurturing the
students. Ms. Shimaila Pari, a talented and creative student of
Grade 8,through her innovative khowar poem, reflected critically
upon a studentís life.In addition to the aforementioned items, the
school was exquisitely decorated with meaningful messages and art
Finally the principal Ms. Sultana Burhanuddin addressed the
gathering and shared some important points of the First Principalsí
Conference recently organized by AKU-EB in Karachi attended by 427
principals around Pakistan. She asked the students to follow the
guidance of their teachers and be ethical citizens of the country.
She said that students of today are supposed to be leaders of
tomorrow, but the pre requisite for that is to be extensive
readers. She further added with an emphasis on building strong
personalities based on solid character through quality education.
