InayatUllah inspects site of proposed Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover

PESHAWAR:
KP Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development InayatUllah Tuesday inspected the venue for ground breaking ceremony of proposed Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover at Phase-III squire of Hayatabad Jamrud Road and reviewed the arrangements in this regard. This European style two level flyover will be completed in short period of 150 days with cost of Rs. 177250 million.

Its contract has already been awarded to National Logistic Cell (NLC). KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak will perform ground breaking ceremony of this mega project today on Wednesday June, 17. Besides other concerned authorities, Provincial Secretary Local Government Jamil Ahmad, Additional Secretary Barkat Ullah Marwat, DG Peshawar Development Authority Aminud Din, DG Local Government Adil Sadique, Administrator Municipal Corporation Peshawar Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Project Director PDA Ijaz Afzal and Project Director NLC Col. Sajid Yaqub accompanied also the Senior Minister during the visit.

InayatUllah while expressing satisfaction on the arrangements for the ground breaking ceremony said that this mega project of communication envisaged paramount importance for the people and government of KP in many respects. He said the increasing traffic jam and other road hurdles are becoming nuisance for Peshawarites. He said Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover will not only remove the traffic hazards from this busiest squire for good but would prove milestone in reviving the past glory of this historical city. He hoped that the flyover would greatly add to the beauty of provincial metropolis.

Senior Minister expressed the confidence that Bab-e-Peshawar would tremendously benefit the hundreds of thousands of students of many universities and other educational institutions of the area besides the people of adjacent residential, industrial and commercial localities. He while directing the NLC and PDA for ensuring timely and quality completion of the flyover further hoped that both the organizations would maintain its reputation about standard of work and speed to complete this mega project well in time. He said that more mega projects would also be handed over to NLC on successful completion of this project. Earlier the Senior Minister InayatUllah chaired a meeting about arrangements for the ground breaking ceremony of Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover at PDA Headquarter in Hayatabad Phase-V wherein a number of decisions were taken.
