CM approved broad parameters of ADP for the financial year 2015-16

PESHAWAR: The Annual Development Program of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the upcoming financial year is focused on the up-lift of the poorest of the poor, the welfare of the youth and the minorities. It will also provide for transferring the sizeable share of resources to the local government.

The broad parameters of the ADP for the financial year 2015-16 were approved by the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak when he was briefed about it by the secretaries of a number of provincial departments. Chief Secretary Amjid Ali Khan, a number of Provincial Ministers, Advisors to Chief Minister and Secretaries of the concerned departments participated.

While Finance Secretary Syed Badshah Bukhari briefed the Chief Minister about the financial position of the Province and the financial implications of both the ongoing and new development schemes, the Additional Chief Secretary Hamad Awais Agha led the Secretary Planning and Development and the concerned departments to brief the participants of the meeting about the development schemes to be included in the upcoming Annual Development Program.

The Chief Minister on this occasion directed to include the rehabilitation and repair of all places of worship of the minorities, their education institutions and scholarships for the children of the poor among them. The Chief Minister was informed that the construction of as many as 42 playgrounds and sports facilities in various parts of the province will be completed before the end of the current financial year i.e. June 2015. The meeting also approved the establishment of playgrounds and sports facilities at each and every Tehsil besides those at various other parts of the Province. It also approved the establishment of facilitation centers for the tourists in various parts of the Province as well as for the protection and preservation of archaeological sites. On this occasion, while approving a large number of schemes for provision of basic facilities as well as development and establishment of degree colleges including grants for the universities, the Chief Minister also directed that a comprehensive schemes for the provision of all basic amenities in each and every college of the Province be prepared and taken up for execution so that the problem is resolved once for all.
