5000 Megawatts Hydro Power projects available for foreign

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that
feasibility studies for constructing over 5000 Megawatts Hydro
Power Projects, six small irrigation dams and many other
construction works in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have been made
available for foreign investors.
He assured that offers of Chinese companies would be considered
favorably for investment in different sectors of development of the
province. This he said while talking to a six member delegation of
Pakistan based China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC) which called on
him at Chief Minister House Monday.
Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser, Advisor to
Chief Minister on Inter Provincial Coordination, Abdul Haq, MPA
Zargul Khan, Secretaries of Irrigation and Power departments and
other concerned officers were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak informed the Chinese company about
foreign and local investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
and said that transparency in the provincial government business
and plenty of other reforms introduced by present government have
created a sound investment environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
especially for foreign investors. He directed the power and
irrigation departments to have detailed and formal meetings with
the company to apprise it of details of feasible power generation
and irrigation projects.
Expressing his views the Chief Financial Officer of CGGC, Tao Jie
appreciated the endeavor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for
improving life standard of the people of the province and ensuring
transparency and fool proof reforms for good governance. Offering
investment by CGGC, a state owned company of China, Mr. Jie told
that his company enjoys strong financial capacity and possesses
vast construction experience. He told that CGGC was already engaged
in construction of Neelum-Jhelum and Suki Kinari Hydro Power
Projects as well as E-35 express Way.
Meanwhile a seven member delegation of Journalists Association of
Bahrain called on the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez
Khattak at CM House Monday. The delegation was accompanied by the
office bearers of Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust including Amjad
Aziz Malik, Tajmul Hayat Malik and Syed Ali Nawaz Gillani.
The delegation headed by Mohammad Qasem, President of Bahrain
Sports Media, discussed matters about promotion of sports relations
between Behrain and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and invited Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa Sports teams to Bahrain.
Talking to the delegation Chief Minister Pervez Khattak welcomed
the delegation and hoped that Bahrain sports journalistís visit
would help established sports relations between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
and Bahrain. He said that improved law and order situation in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has paved way for holding international sports
events in the province.
