NAB arrests Latif-Ur-Rehman District Officer Revenue Dor Mansehra

PESHAWAR:
NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested Latif-ur-Rehman Ex-District Officer Revenue Mensehra presently posted as Programme Manager District Reconstruction Unit (DRU) PERRA, Shangal at Besham for allegedly making illegal assets worth million of rupees.

As per details the accused being holder of various public offices in the Revenue Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa i.e. Tehsildar, DOR Mansehra and Hairpur etc accumulated huge assets which in no way compatible to his status as he belongs to a mediocre family. The matter was brought into the notice of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Authorities. Taking cognizance of the matter inquiry was authorized to ascertain the real facts and collect requisite evidence regarding moveable and immoveable properties owned, controlled and possessed by the accused in his own name and in the name of his dependents.

During the course of inquiry it was revealed that the accused Latif-ur-Rehman DOR accumulated illegally One Bungalow in Habib Ullah Colony Abbottabad, 01 Kanal Plot in Regi Model Town Peshawar, 02 Kanal Commercial Market in Azakhel Nowshera.

The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand into NAB custody.

A young boy shot himself

CHITRAL:
A teen aged boy, fond of hunting, died when his automatic rifle went off accidentally while coming back home after shooting ducks in the nearby river.

Chitral Police told Chitral Times that one Hamad son of Haroon Rashid of Muldeh village, aged 18 years, sustained serious injuries when the trigger of his loaded automatic rifle was pressed by mistake by himself at the moment he was entering his home through the main gate.

He was rushed to the DHQ hospital where he succumbed to his multiple bullet injuries while being given treatment, the official said.

The local police is conducting inquiry under section 144 of criminal procedure code.
