Difference between Government  and Private Nurses

Dear Editor,

We would like enlighten an issue that “Difference between Government nurses and Private Nurses”. The reason to draw attention to adopt the professional nursing behavior like private sector nurses; whereas government nurses must be supposed to educate and develop themselves professionally in terms of sense of responsibility, accountability and proficient awareness related to disease process by enhancing their education and knowledge through various sources.

In order to minimize the difference the among the government and the private sector nurses various in-service sessions and specialization courses necessary organized for the nurses in government hospitals. For example; specialization courses including ECG (Electrocardiograph) course, BLS (Basic Life Support) course, ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) course, PALS (Advance Pediatric Life Support) course, Pace-maker course and dressing course for invasive lines. Similarly in-service sessions must be arrange on unit basis for example; in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in-service sessions including Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP), Pneumonia, ARDS(Acute Respiratory Syndrome), AKI (Acute Kidney Injury), ABG’s interpretation and neurological perspective. In the same way, group discussion on new research ought to bring together so that the nurses would share their clinical experiences and their view regarding research articles.

The professional nursing behavior like private sector nurses; the government nurses must need to educate and develop themselves professionally in terms of sense of responsibility and accountability. If government nurse develop themselves enough through various resources then they would provide care to the patients in more better way at an optimal level so that patients may perhaps prefer to get treatment from low cost hospital like government hospital ones. Eventually the government nurses would come at the compete level of private nurses; as a result they hit the highest point of intensity of the noble profession of nursing.
