CHITRAL; District nazim Chitral came hard on the provincial
government for erecting hurdles in the establishment of a
university and a 250- bedded hospital in Chitral by the federal
government and withholding 37 percent budget of the district
council for the last nine months which has virtually paralyzed the

Maulana Abdul Shakoor here on Tuesday, he regretted that the
government in the province was bent upon making the two mega
projects of Chitral a failure which the prime minister had
announced in September last on the occasion of his visit to the

powers and financial resources to the local bodies as envisaged and

last couple of decades have grown too strong to implement their own
agenda and now they are dared enough to mould the politics and
influence the electoral results of both local and national

Responding to the flaws in the tendering process of the development
works carried by the village councils, he said that no functionary

He said that an integrated development project will be launched
with the help of the donors which will ensure a comprehensive
development process and restoration of the infrastructures
devastated by the flood and the earthquake.
