Center being engaged on CPEC, NFC award and NHP-Muzaffar

Chitral Times Report

PESHAWAR: KP Finance Minister Muzaffar Said Advocate Sunday revealed that his govt has taken a number of decisions to engage federation on a number of crucial national issues including China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), National Finance Commission (NFC) award, Net Hydel Profit (NHP) and energy policy for result oriented outcomes with the sole aim to safeguard interests of the people of the province. He further said annual congregation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) at Azakhel will prove turning point for striking last nail in coffin of corruption as KP govt waged Jehad on it besides suggesting remedies of thwarting internal and external challenges faced by Pakistani nation.

He was talking to a group of media at Serai Naurang after attending JI consultation meeting at Lakki Marwat and workers gatherings at various places of southern districts. JI elite including ex-senator Prof Muhammad Ibrahim khan, ex-KP forest minister Shahraz Khan and ex-MNA Bakhtiar Mani also accompanied him. Muzaffar Said Advocate exhorted that center has no moral grounds to further delay or negate rights of the smaller provinces and hoodwink the people with jugglery of words instead. He said it is also high time that center must handover energy and dams related departments to provinces including WAPDA that is the only way to minimize its burdens and satisfy the agitating people on electricity and gas load-shedding as he said only provinces can better cope with needs of the people.

KP Finance Minister said both his KP govt and party would endeavor to uproot corruption and ensure supremacy of merit, justice and law in the society. He asked the workers to mobilize the people to attend Azakhel Ijtimah of JI being held on 22-23 of this month from across the country that would greatly contribute in blowing the nefarious designs of anti-Islam and ant-state elements and giving message to the world that Pakistanis are united like rock on all issues concerning to the national, economic and security interests.

Similarly separate account will be opened for the club while TMO town-III and chairperson of the committee will manage this joint account. It was also decided that all facilities will be provided in club for healthy activities of residents

It is pertinent that KP govt has constituted 14-member Management Committee for running the affairs the club as per notification issued in this regard, the management committee comprising high ups of government and local residents has been tasked to work for one year or till holding the elections of the committee. The Provincial Government has also notified the rules for the club under Local Government Act 2013.

It is worth mentioning that controversy erupted after residents of the university town started agitation against occupation of the major portion of this 38 Kanals grand Park that was given on long term lease for commercial purposes including Dewan-e-Khas and Coffee Pot due to non-existence of the rules that time. However the Chief Minister took cognizance of the matter especially public complaints regarding illegal occupation and encroachments in the club. The Management Committee also overlooked the progress so far made to affiliate the club with other reputed clubs of the country including Civil Officers Mess, Peshawar Club, Gym Khana Club Lahore and Islamabad Club etc and expressed satisfaction on it. It was further decided that the modus operandi for club membership, fee structure and code of ethics would be strictly followed wherein only permanent residents of the University Town could become the club members.
