Mr. Ilyas said that the flood hit people are still waiting for the rehabilitation of their basic infrastructures of drinking water supply schemes and irrigation channels as the shortage of irrigation water has inflicted a heavy loss on them.

Giving the break-up of development expenditures, he said that 25 percent of the budget will be spent on water supply schemes, 20 percent on municipal services, 5 percent on beautification of the city and 50 percent left on the desertion of the house members for further allocation.
