Sirajul Haq demands special court for the
accountability of the politicians
CHITRAL: Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq has warned
that his party will launch a long march towards Islamabad against
the corruption and corrupt rulers and demanded a special court for
the accountability of the politicians with an authority to hand
down rigorous punishment to the convicts.
Addressing a big public gathering here in Chitral on Sunday, he
claimed that he was as firm and steadfast as the mountain of Terich
Mir against the corruption by the corrupt rulers which had made the
lives of the poor a miserable depriving 20 million children of
He said that if the corruption, VIP culture and profligacy of the
rulers is stopped, then every Pakistani will get free education,
free healthcare facilities while the homeless people will get a
home of their own to live in.
“It is a pity that Lowari Tunnel project was started five decades
ago and is yet to be completed when a generation underwent a
transition and all this is due to the rampant corruption persistent
in the country due to which the rulers roll in luxury at the cost
of the poor”, he said adding that his party has now resolved to
make revolt against the system infested with evils.
Mr. Haq also claimed that except his party, the leadership of all
the other political parties except that of Jamaat-e-Islami, were
found to be the owners of off-shore companies while the fact act as
eye-opener for the people to observe that honest and competent
leadership is the characteristic of only his party.
Regarding the crisis of off-shore companies, he said that the
government has already wasted its days and the situation is heading
to the point of no return very fast after which rulers will
themselves in shackles.
The gathering was also addressed by amir of the provincial chapter
of the party, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, district nazim Maghfirat Shah,
distirct amir of JI, Maulana Jamshed Ahmed, MNA from upper Dir
Tariqullah and former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali.
Earlier, a rally was taken out from Drosh town headed by the party
chief which converted into public meeting at Pologround which is
said to be one of the few mammoth gatherings of political parties
in the history of the venue.
