A young hunter lost his own life

CHITRAL: A hunter lost his life when his automatic rifle went off accidentally as he crumbled down while chasing birds in the pasture nearby his village Harchin in Laspur valley here on Friday afternoon.

An official of Mastuj police station told Chitral Times  that the deceased Amir Hussain shah, student of second year in a local college, died on the spot as the bullets pierced his body.

This was second incident of its type in the village during the last one year as a student has died earlier when his rifle had gone off accidentally.

CHITRAL: The president of Chitral Chemists and Druggists Association, Chitral, Muhammad Hussain has hailed the efficiency of sub-divisional police officer Drosh, Zafar Ahmed for nabbing the ring leader of the gang of thieves involved in burglary in a number of medical stores in Drosh bazaar.

Addressing a press conference flanked by other office-bearers of the association, Noor Ahmed, Haji Mir Alam, Saifud Din and others he said that the theft cases in the area had increased in alarmingly over the months and medical stores were on the hit list.

He said that the arrest of the ring leader due to the hectic efforts of the police officer of the area will surely put an end to the incidents of burglary in the hospital road specially and the town generally.

He also demanded of the police high-ups to hand over the amount of Rs. 377000 recovered from the thieves to the medical store owners from whose shops it were stolen.
