CHITRAL: KP Senior Minister and parliamentary leaderin KP Assembly of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan InayatUllah Khan has congratulated the newly elected cabinet of Abbottabad Press Club for its success in the annual elections of the press club.
In a messages of felicitation to the president-elect and his other cabinet members, he termed the success of SardarShafiqueand others as an honour andtrust of the media community in them and said that the newly elected cabinet of APC would endeavormore to come up to the expectations of the journalist community as well as vitalize their professional skills for larger interest of the people.

InayatUllah expressed the hope that the newly elected president and his colleagues would utilize their persona for the welfare of journalists, uplift of the press club and upholding elevated journalisticvalues. He said that the role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa journalists had been remarkable in the war on terror adding that they had rendered great sacrifices in this regard and a number of journalists from this region had even laid down their lives in line with the discharge of their professional dutiesthat the nation is really proud of.

He urged upon the journalists to play their vital role in projecting the positive steps of KP govtfor thewellbeing of people and province as wellas the steps for ensuring durable peace in this region so that the severely affected economy of the terror-hit province could be revived and people could be provided with peace of mind. He assured all out assistance of his KP govtto PPC cabinet-elect.

Minister Finance MuzaffarSayed Advocatewhile also felicitating the APC cabinet-elect under the dynamic leadership of SardarShafiquehoped that KP govt, people and media cooperation would continue for bright future of this under-developed province. He termed the media as the fourth pillar of the state and said that media and democracy were indispensable for each other and without a vibrant and free media, democratic institutions could not flourish in the society; and hence the provincial government fully believed in the freedom of expression.

Finance Minister called upon the media to highlight chronic issues of the province at national level to solve it for good.Hefurther urged upon the journalists to project the positive steps of the provincial government aimed at public welfare and at the same time point out its weaknesses so that the same could be rectified. He assured that his government would not only welcome the positive and constructive criticism from the media but will also take effective measures to improve its performance in the light of criticism.He expressed good wishes for the success of the new cabinet of the press club.
