Chitral to be made role model for development:
PESHAWAR: Advisor to Prime Minister, Engineer Ameer Muqaam
has said that district Chitral will be made a role model for
maximum development and brought at par with other developed
districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He gave this assurance to a delegation of Chitral Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (CCCI), which called on him here at his
residence Wednesday. Former Tehil Nazim, Chitral, Sartaj Ahmad Khan
led the delegation.
Besides, General Manager (GM) Lowari Tunnel, Ramesh Kumar, GM PTCL,
Saeed Khalil, other senior officials of National Highway Authority
(NHA) and PTCL were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor to Prime Minister directed the
issuance of the tenders for Lowari approach road from both sides of
the tunnel within a period of one week while a big square will be
also constructed at Jogur, the entry point to Chitral.
Engineer Ameer Muqaam also directed the NHA authorities for the
passage of fibre optic from Lowari Tunnel and construction of four
V-Fone towers at Arkari, Yakhun, Trich and Rambur.
Similarly, he also directed expansion in the telephone exchanges of
Chtiral City, Drosh, Garam Chishma, Karimabad and Toghzi and
provision of DSL facility in the district as soon as possible.
Earlier, former Tehsil Nazim, Chitral, Sartaj Ahmad Khan briefed
the Advisor to PM in detailed regarding problems faced by the
residents of Chitral and demanded the provision of maximum
facilities to the people of the district.(APP)
